iChipConnect One already offers the iChip CO2128. The CO2144 is in fact the same silicon, but in a much smaller package – only 10x10mm, 144 ball BGA. As such it is well suited to mobile devices/applications where size is an issue. The CO2144 offers customers something important – choice. They can now choose between CO2128 (LQFP) and CO2144 (LFBGA) – both of which use the exact same firmware. This is true for customers already evaluating the CO2128 chip!

April 2008 - Novotech Technologies Inc. has signed an agreement with Motorola Inc. (NYSE:MOT) to distribute Motorola’s G24 wireless modules family to bring GSM, 802.11 (Wi-Fi), iDEN and GPS modules to the expanding M2M market in North America.

Motorola's G24 family including the G24-L empower connectivity in every type of M2M application, meeting the need for a high-speed, quad band GSM/GPRS/EDGE module with rich functionality. The G24 family includes a strong software platform open to multiple configurations - including Java. The products have been certified by all the major international bodies and conform to the strictest industry standards.

"Motorola and Novotech are poised to capitalize on this expansion by offering the best products in the marketplace to a broad base of industries seeking to deploy M2M solutions,” said Matt Dumais, president of Novotech Technologies Inc.

“Motorola's products are designed to shorten expensive processes and get customers to market in a flash. With built-in Internet and security protocols and a design that allows the host to leverage its CPU and memory, the modules are easy to integrate," said Aharon Mirsky, Vice President of Motorola Israel and Director of Motorola M2M Wireless Modules Business Unit. "The G24 GSM module is one of a family of same form factor engines, enabling customers to design their systems with simple modularity.”
